TEG has also taught individuals how to give better presentations through becoming better speakers. To do this we concentrate on the total speaking experience which is much more than just counting ahhs, uhhs, and other non words which are commonly used by amateur speakers / presenters.

Some groups focus on grammar alone without focusing on something that is just as important which is articulation. The one thing you can not hide when you meet a person is your speech, style, and command of the English language or the lack thereof. You are always speaking in public whether you know it or not or realize it. You are getting sized up by how you sound and decisions are made based on the words that comes out of your mouth. You can dress up a monkey in a tuxedo and have a limousine take it to a board meeting and sit it at the board room table. The people coming into the room may think in their minds. "He’s a homely looking fellow but he’s dressed sharp". It is only when it opens its mouth to speak that someone will shout “that’s a monkey”!

Maybe the analogy is a little far fetched but you get the point. It is when you open up your mouth that you began to get sized up by your audience whether it is in a one on one situation or you are speaking to thousands. TEG explains “the why behind the what” as it relates to great speaking. We start at the beginning with your articulators and enhancing the sound of your voice. We work with speakers or presenters that wants to go to the next level. We cover topics such as lazy tongue or mouth which is when a person does not pronounce syllables or endings of words or pronounces the word itself incorrectly. This would take away from an over all polished speech. TEG covers some of the most often mispronounced words that immediately shouts out "amateur speaker". Like the pronunciation of the word GET most people pronounce it GIT and there is no such word as GIT but it is used often in everyday speech and when presenting.  There are many words that are often mispronouced such as Just many people say Jest or Jist versus the"ust" sound in the word Just which should sound like Rust with a J instead of an R.

We cover the tricks of the trade that will help a speaker or presenter do everything from preparing to delivering an outstanding speech.  We also cover other issues with the speakers natural sounding voice from a hoarse sounding voice to  sounding like they are speaking out of their nose which is referred to as nasality. We cover correct diaphragmatic breathing exercises as well. After we put the speaker / presenter through the vocal portion of the course we then and only then get into the dynamics of presentation skills.

This cover many aspects of speaking from preparing, audience involvement, pre-programming yourself and your audience. We also cover feedback and how important it is and how to prepare for a career as a speaker.
