Customized Training for Leaders

LeadersRichesR4U is a Thompson Education & Consultant Group LLC made up of many Independent Consultants that understand that a leader’s primary responsibility is to influence, persuade or induce an individuals to follow him or her.

TEG teaches leaders the importance of starting by accessing themselves.  The focus is to get the leader to work on their total selves clarifying what is important to becoming the type of person that people want to follow.

TEG teaches the importance of the team concept because most of the greatest leaders were first great followers. TEG starts with a leadership self assessment test. This is where  leaders do a self evaluation identifying Values, Vision and Voice. Under the values assessment integrity and character is covered in great deal. The focus is not only on where the leaders are when he or she enters the training, but more importantly who they become at the conclusion of their training. There is no such thing as a born leader just as there is no such thing as a born doctor, lawyer, football player or anything else. Individuals may possess the skills, talent, intellect, characteristics and even potential to be a great leader but without developing these attributes may find themselves with many people following them and they themselves do not have a clue as to where they are going.

This brings us to the Vision portion of the assessment. Followers will have more confidence and faith in a leader that appears to have a vision and knows where he or she is taking the team. A leader can have all the faith in the world and may even say to the people they are leading I don’t know where we are going but I’ve got faith that we are going to get there. Where is there? Someone needs to know and that some needs to be the leader that has been promoted, selected, appointed or anointed to be out front. “The people perish from the lack of Vision”. When Heller Keller was asked by a reporter “Helen what is worst than being born blind?” She replied “to have site with no Vision” The Vision phase of the training covers the planning stages and the preparing of the Road Map which begins with knowing where the team is now, where they are trying to go and how they are going to get there. It also covers metrics, accountability and scorecards to gauge how well the Leader and his or her team is progressing with not only their tactical, but also with their interpersonal relationship skills. They must also know how to interact and articulate the vision to their team. Whether the team is a family, church, community, or an organizational team the required leadership skills are the same.

Speaking of articulating the Vision this is the third phase of the training which TEG refers to as the Voice of the leader. This phase covers both verbal and non verbal communication skills. TEG understands that being able to articulate the Vision to the team with clarity is just as important as having a Vision. This phase covers styles and different types of leaders, as well as public speaking skills which are also essential for great leaders.
