Remember to take time to smell the roses
RichesR4U is a Thompson Education & Consultant Group company made up of Independent Consultant Master Motivators. They have many testimonies of speeches that have changed people’s perspectives and priorities.
Many people spend most of the hours that they are awake chasing after things and using people to get more of them vs. using the things they've acquired to chase and change people.
The people are then taught the importance of this moment. Not having a clue of how many more moments they have left they they are taught that the things that are most important in life are not things they are people and relationships.
I was on a plane sitting next to a passenger preparing for a speech. She had a book by Russell Simmons’s in her hand entitled “Do You”. Haven read the book myself I asked her what were her thoughts on the book. She stated she had just purchased it because she had just resigned from her job and needed some motivation. She needed to find out what she was going to do next for the rest of her life. I told her that it was no coincidence that she happened to sit next to an inspirational speaker preparing for a speech. She said "well you got just over an hour to motivate me so get started".
After going over my some of my presentation with her I asked her to take a moment and think about what a person that was on their death bed would say they wish they had done, or would have changed if they had more time and could go back to any point in their life and wipe the slate clean. She said to me “I know exactly what they would say I just resigned from being a hospice counselor of 25 years and I been with many people up to the time of their last breath & expiration".
She said “most of them talked about their families, friends and or some relationship that meant so much to them, or one they wished they had mended. Many said the money and things they acquired throughout their life did not matter and they would’ve gladly give it all away for a little more time to spend with the ones they love. She said many of them had recently retired from working all their lives and got ill while others were saving for their dream vacations and found themselves ill and had to use their saved vacation money to keep themselves alive for a little while longer.
I asked "did any of them talk about power, promotions and or possessions". She said “not a one”. She told me that she resigned because 25 yrs was enough and that she did not know what she was going to do for the rest of her life. She thanked me for motivating her not realizing that her story on that short flight also motivated me. As you go through life pursuing power, prosperity, and possessions don’t forget to take time to smell the roses and pursue relationships that are much more important than things because people are not things. The things that will last when you leave will be left in the hearts and minds of the people you inspired and touched along the way. Everyone has a path and or a purpose in life to fulfill. Focus on and make destiny decisions so you do not “die with the music or one last I love you still in you” All things are possible if you believe RichesR4U! D.A.S.H. Destiny Awaits So Hurry !
